I’d like to take advantage of this space to address each and every one of you, and let you know my vision of this new exciting stage we are now embarking on. Many of you will have read that in the last weeks we have closed an agreement with Carlyle, one of the five major investment fund managers in the world.

I am convinced that the incorporation of an investor like Carlyle is great news, since its intention is to make CUPA GROUP even greater and better, not only with financial resources, but thanks to its extensive experience in the management of many companies and markets where we operate. Furthermore, the continuity of my participation as partner and director, as well as of all the management team, has always been key in this operation, so I can assure you nothing will change.

On the other hand, I would like to emphasize that each and every one of you have made it possible for this agreement to be signed. Your work, commitment and made CUPA GROUP an international benchmark, in this way getting large companies interested in joining our company. And, as you can see in this issue of MEDUA, we are fortunate that commitment and talent are multi-disciplinary, present in all posts, business units and countries.

As the African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, walk alone; but if you want to go far, walk together”. I firmly believe that, just as the work of everyone making up the CUPA GROUP team has been key to getting this far, Carlyle will be the ideal travelling companion to help us meet our future challenges.
