The Royds Close depot in Leeds has grown since it started and today is our largest seller of roofing materials. With a fleet of six delivery trucks, the team travels all over the region delivering slate to its customers, which are more every day.

“Today we have great tools that allow us to provide an unbeatable service”, says store manager Mark Burton, who started at the company 17 years ago as a heavy vehicle driver and who, thanks to his work and knowledge of the business, today manages the Leeds team.

Burton explained that “customers have supported us and we have grown thanks to heeding their roofing requests”, and that an important factor at the depot is that “the software system automatically proposes purchase orders adapted to the region’s population profile”.

As a curiosity, Royds Close is located in a place with a strong sports heritage, with teams like the Yorkshire County Cricket Club or Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie. Our workers wear the colours of their favourite teams, creating a very relaxed work climate: rivalry and jokes mix with daily work at the depot.
